Get ready for feathers, glitter, lip-syncing, and laughs during our GVSC CLASSICS Presents: “The Birdcage” Themed Movie Night!

Join us in GVSC’s own version of The Birdcage as we transform the home of Board Chair Barrie Aikle into the famous 1990’s Miami Drag Nightclub. Get ready to enjoy cocktails and light bites as we laugh and gag over the hilarious comedy movie as well as partake in our Lip Sync Like A Bird Contest that will leave everyone begging for more! And if that wasn’t enough, a special guest performer may drop in during the night as you never know what to expect at the GVSC Birdcage!

Entry is FREE to attend movie night with RSVP plus BYOB per person. Please bring your favorite alcohol bottle, wine, or beer ($10 Donation at the door without bottle) Popcorn and light bites will be served.

In this remake of the classic French farce "La Cage aux Folles," engaged couple Val Goldman (Dan Futterman) and Barbara Keeley (Calista Flockhart) shakily introduce their future in-laws. Val's father, Armand (Robin Williams), a gay Miami drag club owner, pretends to be straight and attempts to hide his relationship with Albert (Nathan Lane), his life partner and the club's flamboyant star attraction, so as to please Barbara's father, controversial Republican Sen. Kevin Keeley (Gene Hackman).
