INVITATIONAL EVENT

The time of the year has come where people get to dress up as something else or possibly remember those from the past. It’s a time of both mystery and mischief, where one can hide behind a mask for just one night only! We are proud to present our last invitational party of the year with our Mix-N-Mingle Party: “ Martini Masquerade de Los Muertos”.

The Masquerade will be held at our GVSC Headquarters and home of Board Member, Kevin Seifried, and hosted by me, your new Executive Director, David Quinones. Held between All Hallows Eve and the Dia de los Muertos Festival, the party will mix the French and Italian traditions of Masquerade with the ambiance of the Mexican celebration. The night will consists of sipping on martinis, tasting delectable meat delights, and of course, hiding behind makeup and masks! This is a dress to impress, Black and White affair, so get ready to show off your best evening wear and of course...your mask!

Please RSVP and purchase your ticket no later than Wednesday, October 31 to confirm your attendance to this invitational event. GVSC Supporting Members receive Complimentary Admission, all other General Members and Guests admission $20 and includes specialty vodka martini open bar, complimentary food, and themed entertainment. All proceeds go towards supporting the Gay Vista Social Club and the GVSC Philanthropy Program.

The world may be coming to an end, but there will always be cocktails! In celebration of the spirit of Halloween, let’s sip on drinks as we watch the apocalypse unfold during our very first Mix-N-Mingle Happy Hour... late night of course!

Join us at our local Membership Partner bar Vibes Lounge + Kitchen as we sip on $5 Well Drinks from 8-10pm, and receive a Complimentary Well Drink with your GVSC Card. At 10pm, grab some popcorn and another cocktail as we join the American Horror Story: Apocalypse Viewing Party and see how the world is coming to and end, and may be saved, hosted by Roger Lords. Dinner is now served! For those of you who went to our past two Miami Spice outings, you remember what a fantastic time we had of sipping and tasting delicious eats and refreshing drinks. Prepare to be our GVSC Guest as our next Mix-N-Mingle takes you to dinner in Jaya at The Setai!

Jaya, which means 'victory' in Sanskrit, was chosen to honor The Setai's renowned interior designer Jaya Ibrahim and the hotel's first decade of successful Asian-inspired hospitality. Executive Chef Vijayudu Veena has created standout dishes from Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, India, China and Japan. Our Miami Spice Dinner will be a three-course dinner that consists of an appetizer, entree, and dessert as we dine in The Setai's serene courtyard with retractable roof. We look forward to welcoming all of you GVSC Members... Asian style!

Sunday, August 6, 2016 was the day that we would change from the Miami's Gay 20-Something’s to officially become the Gay Vista Social Club! On this day two years later, we celebrate the 6 original men who met at that first Meetup, those leaders and members who had come before us, and the day GVSC was founded during our third quarterly invitational Mix-N-Mingle Party: “Burgers, Bourbon, & Brews Barbecue”!

We welcome you to the home of Board Member Barrie Aikle and Council Member Moises Crespo as they serve as our hosts for an All-American Founder’s Day Barbecue! Enjoy some delicious grilled burger sliders off the BBQ with all the fixings as well as some ice cold beer on hand. Later on in the night we will get to indulge in the different tastes of bourbon with a triple flight of America’s original spirit.

We thank each and every one of you for bringing us into the second half of 2018 with Membership 2.0 and we look forward to many more Founder’s Days ahead! NOTE: Our Quarterly Mix-N-Mingle Parties are by invitation only, and includes specialty rum and bourbon whiskey open bar, complimentary food, and themed entertainment. Admission is Free for our Donating V, S, and C Members, $20 for all Free G Members with all proceeds going to our two newest philanthropies: Gay Vista Scholarship Club and Gay Vista Social House!
