This month, we're screening our special ROMANCE Movie for the Month "Sausage Party", about how life is good for all the food items that occupy the shelves at the local supermarket. Soon, their world comes crashing down as poor Frank the Sausage learns the horrifying truth that he will eventually become a meal.

💿 MIXER - "This is the Jupiter 2, identify yourself, please." Part 1 of the night is our Virtual Mixer. Brace yourself as you relive classic "Lost In Space" scenes while getting lost for an hour in a psychedelic graphic universe of 90's music, MTV Total Request Live, and VH1 Pop-Up Videos. Remember when television used to play music videos?

⏰ EXPERIENCE- ” The impossible happens all the time, just have to believe it can.” Part 2 is the Virtual Escape Room. The GVSC time machine went haywire during travel. Instead of arriving in the 1990s you know and love, your machine has transported you to the 1990s in an alternate dimension. “Drivin’ the Diva Loco” is playing on the radio. And the Soviet Union has literally dissolved (accident at a nuclear plant).

🚀 MISSION - You have one hour to repair your time machine and get the heck out of dodge before this alternate reality becomes your only reality. Can your group bounce around town, find the parts needed to fix your time machine and Escape from the Alternate Dimension before time runs out? (TIME SLOTS ARE 7:00PM or 7:30PM. MUST PURCHASE A SEPARATE TICKET FOR PART 2.)

The time of the year has come where people get to dress up as something else or possibly remember those from the past. It’s a time of both mystery and mischief, where one can hide behind a mask for just one night only! We are proud to present our last invitational party of the year with our Mix-N-Mingle Party: “ Martini Masquerade de Los Muertos”.

The Masquerade will be held at our GVSC Headquarters and home of Board Member, Kevin Seifried, and hosted by me, your new Executive Director, David Quinones. Held between All Hallows Eve and the Dia de los Muertos Festival, the party will mix the French and Italian traditions of Masquerade with the ambiance of the Mexican celebration. The night will consists of sipping on martinis, tasting delectable meat delights, and of course, hiding behind makeup and masks! This is a dress to impress, Black and White affair, so get ready to show off your best evening wear and of course...your mask!

Jaya, which means 'victory' in Sanskrit, was chosen to honor The Setai's renowned interior designer Jaya Ibrahim and the hotel's first decade of successful Asian-inspired hospitality. Executive Chef Vijayudu Veena has created standout dishes from Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, India, China and Japan. Our Miami Spice Dinner will be a three-course dinner that consists of an appetizer, entree, and dessert as we dine in The Setai's serene courtyard with retractable roof. Sunday, August 6, 2016 was the day that we would change from the Miami's Gay 20-Something’s to officially become the Gay Vista Social Club! On this day two years later, we celebrate the 6 original men who met at that first Meetup, those leaders and members who had come before us, and the day GVSC was founded during our third quarterly invitational Mix-N-Mingle Party: “Burgers, Bourbon, & Brews Barbecue”!

We welcome you to the home of Board Member Barrie Aikle and Council Member Moises Crespo as they serve as our hosts for an All-American Founder’s Day Barbecue! Enjoy some delicious grilled burger sliders off the BBQ with all the fixings as well as some ice cold beer on hand. Later on in the night we will get to indulge in the different tastes of bourbon with a triple flight of America’s original spirit.

We thank each and every one of you for bringing us into the second half of 2018 with Membership 2.0 and we look forward to many more Founder’s Days ahead!
